[edit] Background

Kirby Super Star Ultra is a new game for the Nintendo DS. It is a remake of Kirby Super Star on the SNES. The game will include all the mini games from the original Kirby Super Star, plus several extra mini games. Along with more games, the graphics have been updated to 3D, making the game play even more fun. The game received fairly good reviews, with some saying it was on the easy side, and not as complex as many games.

[edit] Sub Games

Aside from the original Kirby Super Star games (Spring Breeze, The Great Cave Offensive, Dyna Blade, Gourmet Race, Revenge of Meta Knight, Milky Way Wishes, Samurai Kirby, The Arena, and Megaton Punch), there are both small mini games and more complex platforming games.

[edit] Mini-games

[edit] Snack Tracks

A game played with four Kirbys, where Kirby is on a conveyor belt and is trying to eat as much food as possible, without eating the non-edible items. Whichever Kirby eats the most wins.

[edit] Kirby Card Swipe

Kirby Card Swipe is a fast paced game that tests your reflexes. You will view a variety of with images on them. Then, one card will appear on the top screen. As quickly as possible, touch the card that matches that one.

[edit] Kirby on the Draw

In this game, Kirby tries to shoot a variety of different items, each with a different point value. The Kirby with the most points at the end wins.

[edit] Platforming Sub-games

[edit] Revenge of the King

In this mode, King Dedede wants revenge on Kirby for beating him in Spring Breeze. This sub-game is basically a remake of the Extra Mode in Kirby's Dream Land. But this one has a different final stage (it ends with a fight against King Dedede with a mask and metal hammer).

[edit] Meta Knightmare Ultra

In this sub-game you play the entire game as Meta Knight (only the adventures Kirby has experienced in the original Super Star though, Meta Knight even fights his own minions and destroys his own ship!). At the end, Meta Knight wises to Nova to fight Gamble Galaxy's greatest warrior.

[edit] Helper to Hero

In this sub-game, you are put to the test to play as any/every helper through an endurance challenge through bosses. The final bosses is a pair of Wham Bam Rock, and the Wham Bam King, Wham Bam Jewel. When you beat this mode with all the helpers, you will unlock cutscenes from the original Kirby Super Star.

[edit] The True Arena

Another endurance challenge, but this one is harder. It has all the Revenge of the King bosses, and four new bosses as the Final Four. Masked Dedede, Wham Bam Jewel, Galacta Knight, and Mark Soul.
